Durga Prasad

Durga Prasad, a young promising Carnatic Saxophone artist from India, initiated his journey in music as a flutist. His desire to explore different instruments drove him towards learning the Saxophone under the able tutelage of Saxophone maestro Sri E.R. Janardhanan, a disciple of Padmashri Kadri Gopalnath. Durga Prasad, being a versatile artist plays various genres other than Carnatic like Western Classical, Filmy, Jazz and Blues which makes him an expert in fusion music. He had performed over 500 concerts all over India in numerous elite venues like Narada Gana Sabha, Madras Music Academy, Krishna Gana Sabha, Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam to name a few. He is also a dedicated guru with a real passion for teaching. He has trained over 100 students in Flute & Saxophone in a variety of Genres.
