Gayathri Balachandran, a young promising Carnatic and playback vocalist, hails from a family of illustrious musicians. Miss Gayathri started her initial vocal training under her father Shri Prapancham Balachandran, a world-reputed Carnatic flutist and a prime disciple of Padmashri late Dr. N. Ramani. She then underwent professional vocal training from her maternal grandfather, the legendary Harmonium artist, Palladam Sri Venkataramana Rao. She is also currently undergoing advanced training in Hindustani Vocals. Miss Gayathri has been performing Carnatic music concerts and Playback shows all over India and abroad. She has won numerous awards and titles both in Carnatic and playback vocals including the Big FM Golden Voice 2, a national-level music competition and online super singer. She is a very dedicated teacher who has trained 50+ students from all over the world.
