An extremely talented and versatile Saxophone artist from Mysore, Harish Pandav has performed in numerous concerts in various sabhas around India. These include the Youth Music Festival at Gayana Samaja (Bangalore), JSS Sangeetha Sabha (Mysore), Yuva Sourabha Programme (Bangalore) and Vid. Nethi Sriramalu Sharma Sangeetha Sabha (Hydrabad). Runner-up at the National Instrumental Music Competition (India), Harish Pandav is a graded artist in All India Radio, Mysore, and has recently been involved in music direction for movies. Harish Pandav has received several honors throughout his music journey – ‘Sri Sushameendra Kala Puraskara’ from Sri Sushameendra Seva Prathishtana, ‘Rajyothsava’ award from Kannada Samskruthi Ilake, ‘Samskrutika Prathibe’ award from D. Banumaiahs Arts & Commerce College and ‘Kalasourabha’ award from Mysore Dasara Exhibition committee – to name a few. Son of Thavil Vidwan Thopaiah, Harish Pandav learnt music from Vid. N. Jayaram, Vid. H.A. Ningaraj Pandav and Naadaswara Vid. Sri. K.N. Krishnamurthy of Kodiyala, Karnataka. Today he continues to practice carnatic classical vocal and saxophone under the guidance of Vidhushi Smt. Gayathri Satyanarayana of Mysore. Harish Pandav has earned a Master’s Degree in Music from Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysore.
